Who this macrame journal is for
This journal is for macrame makers creating wall hangings, plant hangers, keychains and home decor with knotted cord. It suits beginners learning their first square knots and experienced makers designing their own patterns or selling at craft fairs. Macrame uses a lot of cord, and working out lengths, tracking your stash and recording the knots used in each piece saves money, reduces waste and makes it easy to recreate favorite designs.
How to use your macrame journal
Set making goals for the season. Plan each project with size, cord type and knots used. Record your cord stash with colors, thickness and amounts. Keep the knot guide handy while you work. Use the cord length calculator before cutting so you never run short. List supplies such as rings and dowels, sketch ideas, work out cost and pricing, and photograph finished projects.
