Who this kids story writing template is for
These templates are for young authors writing and publishing their own stories. They suit children aged about six to twelve, writing workshops in classrooms and homeschool creative writing projects. Planning characters and plots first, then writing, illustrating and adding a cover and author page, gives children the proud feeling of creating a real book from start to finish. It also makes a wonderful family project, with grandparents reading the finished book at a special story time.
How to use your kids story writing template
Plan the story on the planner. Build a main character. Map the beginning, problem and ending. Write and illustrate on the story and writing pages. Design a cover, write an about the author page, and use the checklist before sharing. Staple or bind the finished pages into a little book, and keep a copy of every story your child writes over the years.
